Several-Prominent-Films-–But-All-Eyes-On-Vijay-Deverakonda-Dear-ComradeJune saw the release of small budget flicks week after week, the month of July promises to be an upgrade on that aspect. It doesn’t necessarily mean better films, as many low budget movies sprang a surprise with their content. Here are the big ones in July.

July 5th:

The 5th of July will see the release of well-promoted Samantha starrer Oh Baby. Samantha is on a roll, and it will be a big test of her star power. A project that is solely dependent on her pull with the director Nandini Reddy lacking any currency at the moment.

Aadi Saikumar’s Burrakath which got postponed in the eleventh hour due to Censor issues, will make it to cinemas on July 5th. The actor is hoping that the variety entertainer will give the much needed commercial comeback to him.

RajDooth marking the debut of Meghamsh Srihari will be the third release of the day. More than anything, all eyes are on the debutant to see if he has the spark in him to attract and engage the audience.

July 12th:

The second Friday of the month will see another clash. This time a horror comedy Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene is going to take on keenly anticipated love story Dorasani.

For Sandeep Kishan, the ghost flick is a crucial project as he tries to gain his foothold back in Telugu film industry. A few years ago Sandeep Kishan was going steadily in TFI before hitting a speed breaker. The jump to primarily Tamil films didn’t work out for him in Telugu as he slowly lost the audience interest locally.

As far as Dorasani is considered, Anand Deverakonda and Shivathika will be looking to make a substantial impact on their arrival. The theatrical trailer has raised hopes on the movie.

July 18th:

Rakshasudu, the Telugu remake of Tamil psycho thriller Ratchasan is announced to arrive on this date via a teaser. However, no further development has been noticed on this Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas starrer since then.

July 19th:

Right through the entire summer, there has been no mass movie to grace the big screens except for Maharshi. The mass audience craving for the mass outing will finally get a dose of ‘mass’ with Ismart Shankar. Puri Jagannadh and Ram, come together for the first time in this flick.

July 26th:

The last Friday of July will see the release of the movie which will have the curiosity of the entire South Indian film industries as well. It is the Vijay Deverakonda starrer Dear Comrade. It has been promoted for a long time, and the songs are successful as well. While the presence of Vijay Deverakonda is enough to draw youth, the combination with Rashmika is likely to bring the Geetha Govindam crowd as well.

All eyes are on Dear Comrade to see what it can achieve across all the industries and how Vijay Deverakonda will be accepted. A grand opening here will further cement the position of VD as a numero uno star in the second league.
