Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam has had a sensational opening at the box office. The film is the biggest opener in the career of Ram Charan as it surpassed the previous best by a massive margin. The worldwide number is reported to be close to Thirty crores.
Rangasthalam had a limited release, as mentioned before, compared to other recent biggies, but the plus side was the occupancy which was excellent throughout the day. It was always going to be the biggest opener for Charan, but how big was the question on everyone’s mind. Well, it went beyond the fans imagination. The Telugu states number just about missed the Twenty Crore mark, though.
The best thing about Rangasthalam is that it is working well universally. The numbers are incredible, be it the mass centres in the Telugu states or the US. No Sukumar film before in his career had this kind of universal acceptance and run.
Even better news coming in is that the second day has started with a bang. It will be another huge day. The trade is expecting the rustic village drama to reach or cross Fifty Crores by the end of the weekend.
