A sensational combo is doing the rounds of social media. It is related to the upcoming film of AR Murugadoss. He is reportedly planning to bring together Superstar Mahesh Babu and Universal Hero Kamal Haasan.
Well, if you are excited about the combo, consider yourself to be in the minority. None of the fans of Mahesh Babu and Kamal Haasan has hopes on it. It is because of the form of director AR Murugadoss.
A few years ago, Superstar Mahesh Babu fans were thrilled when a film in the combination of AR Murugadoss and Mahesh Babu was announced. It (Spyder) was their most keenly awaited project. However, since it bombed at the box office, they haven’t been that forgiving.
The form of Murugadoss, too, since Spyder hasn’t been good. Sarkar with Vijay barely passed the success mark, whereas Darbar featuring Superstar Rajinikanth didn’t click at all.
Post Darbar, AR Murugadoss was supposed to do a film with Vijay. It was dropped, and the star picked a young director’s project. Murugadoss has been idle from then onwards. Occasionally, buzz surfaces, but nothing has been official so far. Recently, Allu Arjun and Ram, too, were heard in conjunction with AR Murugadoss.
We have to wait and see which project materialises finally. Murugadoss is a top director, and it would be exciting to see him come back to form and deliver a memorable success. However, it would most likely be the end of the road for him as a ‘big’ name if that doesn’t happen.
