Star kids making entry into films is a very common thing. But heroes daughters filmy entry is not so easy as fans so not approve them to romance other heroes. Barring a few, stars’ daughters had tough time to make place in the industry. Long back Superstar Krishna’s daughter Manjula was chosen to do a film with Balakrishna. Severe opposition from Superstar’s fans made him to drop the idea though she acted in films later on.
In Kollywood, hero Sarath Kumar’s daughter (step daughter of yesteryear heroine Radhika) Vara Lakshmi made her debut into films and is successfully going forward with her career. She presently grabbed a chance to portray a dancer of one of the ancient folk dance form of Tamil Nadu, Karagattam.
The film titled ‘Tara Tappatai’ is considered as a prestigious project and Shriya was first considered to play the role. But as the film maker wanted a girl who has looks and body language of a South Indian. Hence Vara Lakshmi was finalised for the movie. In the first half she would be seen as a Karagattam dancer and in the second half a prostitute according to the sources.
