Senior Telugu heroes – Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Chiranjeevi, and Venkatesh are still very much active. But what about the box office performances of their theatrical outings? Here is a look into the same.
To start off, Nandamuri Balakrishna is one cloud nine with the blockbuster success of Akhanda. The actioner was the first Telugu biggie to release after the third wave and it was a box office monster.
Then came Bangarraju, which had Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya in the lead roles. The film was a failure in the overseas market and it was an average farer in the Telugu states. Overall, it is an average venture. As for Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, the film is turning out to be a disaster.
The next senior hero in line is Venkatesh who has a promising film, F3 which is due for release on 27 May. Being a sequel to the box office blockbuster F2, the second part, F3 has great potential to make it big at the box office if comes with the right content. Being a comedy entertainer, it is showing great potential this summer season.
Telugu senior batch has delivered a blockbuster and has one more potentially sound film up for release and we need to wait and see how that turns out.
