Seetimaarr has surpassed Bollywood and Hollywood film to become the biggest ever opener after the COVID second wave. Gopichand’s Seetimaarr has beaten Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom and Shangchi by taking the biggest opening on Day 1 after the second wave.
The mean is no ordinary feat for Seetimaarr as Akshay Kumar has a good craze while Hollywood film Shangchi was one the most awaited film. On top it, despite Tuck Jagadish getting streamed on OTT the same day, Seetimmarr raked in good footfalls at theaters taking an upper hand.
Seetimaarr makers made a wise move as they consciously avoided US release as mass entertainers usually get negative feedback from there. Helmed by Sampath Nandi , known for mass entertainers, Seetimaarr will have a good weekend run at the ticket-window. But how the film will hold from Monday on wards is to be seen.
Meanwhile, Seetimaarr is going to give much needed comeback for Gopichand who earnestly waited for long. And needless to say, with the shattered box-office numbers on day 1, it has been biggest opener in his career.
