Our ‘Legend’s girl, Radhika Apte is stunning the critics and audiences with her seductive looks and cool performance in the character of ‘Ahalya’ which is inspired from our epic ‘Ramayana’s character Ahalya, the wife of the saint Goutham. The 14-minute short film is truly captivating for which director Sujoy Ghosh of ‘Kahani’ fame is receiving all appreciation.
While even the common audiences in India who know Ramayana could easily relate the short movie ‘Ahalya’ to the episode of Ahalya from ‘Ramayana’, a few rumours are making rounds that ‘Ahalya’ is inspired from Roald Dahl story. By the way, who is Roald Dahl? He is an author of children’s stories.
Now the director has a question to ask the rumour makers implicitly. Did he get inspired from children’s story to make an epic thriller which is woven around seduction, deceit and slightly feminist in nature? Lolz.
