Tollywood is back in full flow now. Several biggies, including RRR, Acharya, and others have locked the new release dates. Radhe Shyam is also expected to announce the release date very soon. But the makers of Bheemla Nayak are in a dilemma now.
If the film does stick to February 25 slot, there is one major problem and that is related to the AP government. Given the rivalry between YS Jagan and Pawan Kalyan, the government of Andhra Pradesh might not permit ticket price hikes for Bheemla Nayak and this will greatly affect the film’s box office prospects.
The other scenario is the film postponing the release plan. If it moves it April 1, then the likes of RRR and Radhe Shyam will be the first ones to hit the big screens. The makers of these films can lobby with the government and they might well acquire permission for price hikes and possibly even special shows.
If the government permits special permissions for RRR and Radhe Shyam, then Bheemla Nayak too might be benefited as the makers of the first two films would have done the hard work already.
As of now, many big-ticket films are happily locking the release dates, except for Bheemla Nayak.
