The much hyped theatrical trailer of Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata is out now. As promised, the trailer is loaded with action shots featuring Mahesh Babu.
“You can steal my love, you can steal my friendship, but you can’t steal my money” Mahesh’s opening dialogue reads. That gives an idea of Mahesh’s characterization in the film. He plays a loan recovery agent and a badass one at it. The long hair, coin tattoo, and casual attire all look fresh.
There is a bit of everything in the trailer. There is action, there is a bit of romance between the lead pair, and there’s sarcastic comedy evoked by Mahesh. This could be an indication that the film is a packed summer holiday season entertainer.
Keerthy Suresh makes a brief appearance and so does Samuthirakani, who plays the antagonist. They look fitting. But the emphasis is almost entirely on Mahesh and his characterization.
It has been quite a while since Mahesh was seen in a livewire kind of a role and he oozes energy in abundance, as far as the trailer is concerned. For commercial potboilers like Sarkaru Vaari Paata to click, there should be a strong hookpoint in the story and the hero characterization should strike a chord with the audience. We can draw conclusion on the same only after the film releases.
This is Parasuram’s first star hero project and he appears to have presented Mahesh in a fan-pleasing manner. We need to wait till 12th May to see how he handled the project. Thaman’s background score for the trailer is electrifying, like one would expect.
