The AP State government has allowed the makers and exhibitors of “Sarkaru Vaari Paata” to increase the ticket price by ₹45 for the first 10 days. The film starring Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh is scheduled to be released on May 12.
According to the GO issued by the YS Jagan’s government, the film had been considered a ‘Super High Budget Film,’ a categorization of films whose budget is more than 100 crores, excluding the remuneration of the cast and director.

Many people on social media, especially Pawan Kalyan fans, are trolling YS Jagan for being partial to Mahesh Babu’s film. There is also a dialogue in the film, “Nenu Vinnanu…Nenu unnanu,” which makes it seem like the makers were wooing YS Jagan for his blessings for their film. And this hike from the AP government proves that SVP has been eventually blessed by Jagan.
On the other hand, some trade experts believe that such hikes will only take the audience away from the film. If the film gets a mixed talk like Acharya, the film will not survive at the box office. There are some other trade pundits as well who opine that the hike is minimal compared to the prices in Telangana and it should help the distributors of SVP achieve breakeven.
The hype surrounding SVP is huge, and there is a grand pre-release event planned for the film in Hyderabad on May 7th, which is expected to be attended by thousands of Superstar fans.
