Sankranthi releases, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy are doing well despite mixed reviews.
Fans are fighting on social media over who won the Sankranthi box office battle, Chiranjeevi or Balakrishna. But there’s also a funny talk going on that the real Sankranthi winner turned out to be none other than Shruti Haasan.
Shruti Haasan had literally nothing to do in both films. As we mentioned in our reviews that she did flowerpot roles in Waltair Veerayya as well as Veera Simha Reddy.
Except for shaking her booty in the supposedly-romantic songs opposite the senior heroes and one action scene in Waltair Veerayya, she literally did nothing. Despite such inconsequential roles and minimal effort, she got her full remuneration for both films.
In that way, Shruti Haasan is definitely the real Sankranthi winner of the year.
