Superstar Rajinikanth’s Darbar released on Thursday and has got a good opening in both the Telugu States despite the negative reviews. However, the numbers in the second show are horrendous in several centers. This is because of the hiked rates in place of the movie.
All the Sankranthi Releases were allowed to hike their ticket rates. Those high rates have proven to be counter-productive for Darbar. However, Sankranthi Biggies – Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo are confident about the products and believe that the hiked rates would help them.
Sankranthi Season and Hiked Rates would definitely help if and only if the talk and reviews are good. On the other hand, both Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo are having Special Shows in AP and Telangana. In AP, the movies will have six shows while in Telangana, they have five shows.
As much as 141 Crore is riding on both the films in AP and Telangana alone. Both the films should do the heavy-lifting in the Sankranthi season to end up as safe ventures.
