It is Bangarraju all the way for Sankranthi 2022. The festival entertainer is doing the best business among all releases, as expected. The signs are superb for a good weekend ahead as well.
Bangarraju starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya has collected nearly 8.2Cr on its opening day. The beet numbers came in from the Andhra territories where the Sankranthi festival is huge. Bangarraju is especially fantastic in Uttar Andhra, East, West and Ceded. In other areas it is good. The weakest happens to be Nizam, surprisingly.
The good news is Bangarraju picked up big time on the opening day itself. It started shaky in a few areas in the morning, but the movie covered the ground by the matinees itself.
The second day is again following the same trend. The morning shows are low, but Bangarraju is getting sold out everywhere from the afternoon itself.
What it means is that a good weekend is on cards for Bangarraju. Twenty Crores is given. How much ahead will go would be known on the first Monday.
The lack of formidable opposition and mass appeal is making Bangarrarju work at the box office. However, there is still a long way to go before Bangarraju breaks even. It needs to collect more than 39 Cr to get a successful verdict. Watch this space for our weekend update.
