Tollywood is set to witness a jam packed Sankranthi 2022 as a total of 4 heavyweights are gearing up for theatrical release next festival holiday season.
Earlier today, the makers of Pawan Kalyan-Rana film announced that the social drama will be releasing next Sankranthi season. The film is a remake of Malayalam blockbuster Ayyappanum Koshiyum and Trivikram is providing the screenplay and dialogues for the Pawan Kalyan and Rana starrer.
Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata is also slated for theatrical release next Sankranthi. A long while back, the makers had announced that the film would be releasing in theaters next Sankranthi. There has been a lengthy delay in shoot after the announcement but there is still ample amount of time for the unit to wrap up shoot and prepare the film for Sankranthi release. The film is well and truly on course for release next Sankranthi holiday season.
Next on the list is F3, the sequel to 2018 Sankranthi blockbuster F2. The film features Venkatesh and Varun Tej in the lead role and being a comedy caper, it caters to family audiences, which could greatly boost its box office prospects. The film is locked and loaded for Sankranthi 2022 release. An official announcement on the same is due though.
Last but not least, Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast is tentatively gearing up for theatrical release next Sankranthi. Vijay scored a big hit with Master which released this Sankranthi and he is looking to emulate a similar feat next Sankranthi with Beast. Vijay has built a sizable market in the twin Telugu states and he could well put up a good show at the ticket counters with Beast.
All in all, Sankranthi 2022 is promising to be an action-packed one with four equally strong films locking horns at the ticket counters. But of course, this will be possible only if the Covid situation is under control at that point in time.
