Sankranthi is a big deal for the Telugu film industry, and usually, multiple films are in line to take advantage of the festive period. Over the years, it has resulted in fascinating competition among the stars. 2020 promises to be another one with a unique three trier completion.
With the announcement of Sharwanand’s new flick Sreekaram for Sankranthi 2020, a unique clash has been set up. For starters, a total of six movies are placed to release around the same time in a week’s gap. These are the current speculative dates and one need to wait for official announcements regarding the same.
The first set of the clash will be among senior stars Superstar Rajinikanth and Nandamuri Balakrishna. The upcoming movies of both the actors, Durbar and untitled KS Ravikumar flick, are slated for Sankranthi 2020. The former has already locked its date, January 9th.
The next and most exciting of clashes, if it materialises, is Superstar Mahesh Babu with Stylish Star Allu Arjun. Their upcoming films with Anil Ravipudi (Sari Leru Neeku Evaru) and Trivikram Srinivas are going to come around the same time. An official announcement regarding the former has already been made.
The third one is going to be between Sai Dharam Tej and Sharwanand. In this case, the latter’s Sreekaram makers have fixed its release for Sankranthi 2020, whereas Prati Roju Pandage (a Maruthi directorial) is yet to come with one.
As one can observe, seniors and juniors belonging to the same categories are going to clash at the box office which would make Sankranthi 2020 super duper exciting. However, it needs to be seen if everyone would come on time as a few haven’t confirmed to any particular time frame.
