Namrata Shirodkar has done a lot of Bollywood films and she was one of the heroines who worked with top stars of her generation. But, she has only one co-star who she thinks to be her best friend.
Reminiscing her days in Bollywood, she tells us how she was very comfortable working with Sanjay Dutt. He used to take care of every female cast and crew of his films ensuring their safety. That’s why she was fond of him and says he is her favourite co-star.
He was her only colleague who knew about her relationship with Mahesh Babu and thence, used to pull at her leg once in a while teasing her about Mahesh Babu. She befriended him because he was protective, chivalrous and warm.
Namrata calls him a child-man who was always concerned about the safety of the female folk who worked with him, especially, when they went for outdoor shootings and had to shoot among the crowds.
Sanjay Dutt is known to us for his controversial life with drugs, possession of illegal arms case and then his prison term. This is a different side of the actor that we came to know through Mahesh’s wife.
