In another bit of problem regarding Sanjay Dutt, it seems that Bollywood film director Rajkumar Hirani had visited him illegally. In this connection, the Maharashtra Prisons Department has submitted a report to the State Home Ministry where it is recommended that action be taken against the jail superintendent at Yerawada jail as well as against another senior jailer. When an internal inquiry regarding the same had been done Yerawada prison, it was found that the officials at the prison had broken the rules.
The report that has been submitted by the vigilance department underscores the same point that that jail superintendent Yogesh Desai and senior jailer Chandrakant Awale flouted the rules. They were also seen in a picture alongside Dutt and Hirani which had hit the media the day after Hirani’s visit. As for actions, it is now up to the Home Ministry.
