Sampoornesh Babu has emerged has the overnight star in Tollywood, with his film ‘Hrudaya Kaleyam’ going on to be a hit at the box-office. Made on a budget of under INR 2 crore, the film has collected a whopping INR 4 crore in the opening weekend worldwide. It released approximately in about 260 screens.
The film, which is a spoof comedy, didn’t have any story per se but majorly relied on entertaining audiences with spoof on several films and actors. Audiences worldwide seemed to have loved the film and Sampoo could now be called the ‘Sudden Star’ with this hit. But the biggest problem is whether he will survive in the market with his films to come because if you continue making spoofs, people are not going to appreciate it.
The film’s satellite rights are expected to be sold at a fancy price because of its theatrical success. Another big reason being the film didn’t have any major competition as RGV’s ‘Rowdy’ opened to mixed reviews.
