The phenomenon called Sampoornesh Babu has once again become the talk of the town for the way his movie ‘Kobbari Matta’ has been a successful project for the makers of the movie. In the US, the movie has collected $2,556.
Comparing it to Anasuya’s ‘Kathanam’, Anasuya’s movie collections summed up to $256, including just $8, i.e., literally one ticket yesterday. So, Sampu’s movie is way ahead of Anasuya’s movie at the box-office in the US.
It is the same in the Telugu States, as well. Though not too many, new theatres were added for ‘Kobbari Matta’ for the next week both within and outside the Telugu States.
A person who claims to be Sampu’s fan climbed up a cell tower in Madanapalli of Chittoor district demanding the release of ‘Kobbari Matta’ in Madanapally.
Don’t know if this is a publicity stunt bybthe makers or something real. But, the movie didn’t release in Madanapally last Friday and it would be added there in the next week.
