Sampath Nandi has progressed from being a director to a producer but his subjects still retain the same quality. This could be seen from the censor rating of the Friday release Galipatam which has the story being provided by the director. The movie has completed its censor formalities recently and it has been given an A rating by the board.
Galipatam starring Aadi and Erica Fernandez is a urban love story directed by newcomer Naveen Gandhi. But the story of the film is provided by Sampath Nandi. One look at the subject and it would be pretty clear that its a Sampath Nandi work as it reminds one of his debut film Emaindi Eevela. This too was an A rated urban romance which connected with the youth back then. Will the subject generate similar response when it hits the screens this Friday? The film is very crucial for actor Aadi as his last couple of films have been washouts at the box office. It remains to be seen if the upcoming actor gets benefitted by Sampath’s brand or not.
