After Vijay and Suriya, it is now the turn of Samantha to team up with another superstar of Tamil cinema – Vikram. Sam will be teaming up with Vikram in upcoming yet-untitled Tamil film with director Vijay Milton. The film, which is expected to go on floors, as soon as Vikram completes shooting for Manoharudu, will be produced by A.R Murugadoss.
It was Murugadoss who had suggested Sam to the director because he is currently working with her on his upcoming film called Kaththi with Vijay. Impressed with her work in the film, Murugadoss thought it would make sense to have her on board with Vikram as well. This means Sam will be the busiest actress of this year with four projects – three in Tamil and one in Telugu.
The only superstar now left in Tamil industry is Ajith. Will Samantha also get an opportunity to work with him? We’ll have to wait to find that out as the casting for Ajith’s next film is currently underway.
