Samantha has hogged the limelight when the trailer of her maiden OTT project, The Family Man 2 released. She plays LTTE Rebel – Raji in the web series and she has managed to impress everyone in the trailer. Immediately, Amazon Prime Video unleashed a promotional campaign with her.
However, once the controversy erupted in Tamil Nadu, the OTT giant has pulled back and stopped the promotions. Rumors are that a gag order has been issued instructing Samantha not to speak about the controversy to avoid any further escalation of the matter till the show is streaming online.
There are other rumors that Samantha has taken the decision herself so as not to trouble her career in Tamil. She currently has two films in production in Tamil. The people of Tamil Nadu are known to be very emotional and this can very much backfire. So if it is her decision, we can say it is wisely taken.
There has been a discussion in social media where Samantha has become silent or she was silenced by Amazon Prime Video. On the other side, The Family Man 2 will be having its premiere on June 4th.
