Due to her health issues, Samantha Ruth Prabhu promoted her last film Yashoda with only one media interview. That interview gave the much-needed push to the film, and it did reasonably well during its first weekend. Now she is coming up with the historical epic, Shaakuntalam, directed by Gunasekhar.
To create some buzz, the film needs solid promotions from Samantha. She is the only star actor in the movie who can pull audiences into the theaters. The film’s budget is huge and a good opening is a must for it to sail through.
But the makers of the film are in two minds. They want Samantha to promote the film extensively, but they can’t afford to put her through so much stress because of her recent health condition. They will not want to exhaust her by making her attend several promotional events and interviews.
On the other hand, they cannot afford to skip promotions by Samantha as she is the sole star attraction in Shaakuntalam and the stakes are very high.
We have to see what kind of promotional strategy they are going to adapt for Shaakuntalam that would give the film a huge push.
