Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Yashoda was planned for an Independence day 2022 release, but the makers backed out due to fierce competition. Recently a teaser was unveiled, but no release date was mentioned.
Coming on to her other project Shaakuntalam, the first look poster of Sam was released in February 2022. After more than 7 months, the makers have kickstarted the promotions again with the first look poster of actor Dev Mohan as King Dushyant.
There are reports coming in that Sam has gone to the US for the treatment of her relapsed skin problem. Last time Sam suffered a lot due to this skin problem. The sources say that she almost went into depression.
As the above-mentioned two projects are Samantha-centric, Sam’s involvement in the promotions is very crucial. But the makers have no clue when Samantha fully recovers and joins both films’ promotional activities.
As of now, the Shaakuntalam producers seem to have woken up, but a little too late, and such a huge gap between promotions will not hype the interest for the film among the audience.
