Nag Ashwin who burst onto the Telugu cinema with the critically appreciated Yevade Subrahmanium is going to direct this biopic. The movie has been in news for a long time now and initially, Nithya Menen was attached to it. This sudden development has definitely come as a surprise.
Since it is a biopic there has to be a presence of many known personalities as part of the story. It will be interesting to see who all would be cast, as in real life Savitri has good relationships with almost all top stars of her time in Telugu and Tamil.
