The trailer of India’s most-awaited web series, The Family Man 2 is out a short while ago. While the trailer is packed with all the ingredients we expect from the web series, the surprise package is undoubtedly Samantha Akkineni. The actress plays Raji, an LTTE Rebel in this sequel.
When we say she plays an LTTE Rebel, it is not just like how she plays but how she gets into the skin of the character. The regular glam associated with an actress down the South is completely set aside. We see her in a lean frame like how a Rebel is because they starve, they toil, they focus on nothing but their target.
The kind of sharp look she gives when she says ‘I will kill them’ does not resemble anything close to Samantha we know. We only see Raji there. There are a couple of stares like that in the trailer. She is seen flexing her muscles, rolling out the stunts – in a raw and rustic manner which justifies the statement of the directors – Raj & DK when they said – She is Game for Everything.
This is Samantha 2.0 – unleashing the real actress. She has set the bar far higher for any of the current crop of heroines in Indian Cinema. Moreover, all that we are talking about is only a trailer. The web series will unleash more of her and needless to say, we can not wait any longer for June 4th to arrive.
