Kannada director Pawan Kumar remade his own Kannada super hit film ‘U Turn‘ with the same title in Telugu with Samantha playing the lead role. The remake received a similar kind of appreciation as the original but didn’t fare great, commercially.
Now, there is a movie made in Kannada with the title ‘U Turn 2’. The initial impression will be that it must be the sequel for Pawan Kamar’s ‘U Turn’. However, the filmmaker has got nothing to do with it, and he isn’t even aware of it in the first place.
Nevertheless, he says he was shocked but sees no point in taking any action against the bunch of newcomers who are using the title and make it look like a sequel. Maybe, live and let live must be the director’s policy.
On the work front, Pawan Kumar has been on an international trip and busy with writing a script. Hence, away from all kinds of media and even cell phones. You know that he is one of the directors of Netflix series ‘Leila’.
