Hyderabad is all set for the Times Salman Khan Night just as the Old City fans of Salman are all geared up for a night with their favourite actor. Apparently, this old city sees a massive cult following of Salman Khan, who is a very dear person in the heart of Hyderabadis.
Yasir Khan, a suave businessman and devoted Salman follower says, “The first time I met Salman was when he was shooting for Tere Naam in the city. The second time I met him when he was shooting for Wanted. I was there when he came to Hyderabad to promote Dabangg as well, but could only see him from a distance. Unse baat nahi ho payi kabhi lekin, bahut khwaish hai unse baat karne ka,” confesses Yasir.
Similarly, another fan Ibrahim, who is a businessman says, “Salman Khan is a cult figure in the Old City. You will see pictures of Salman Khan on auto rickshaws, in gyms, hair salons, etc. He is a huge icon in this part of town.”
