Producer Amit Mehra has to cross many hurdles in the way so as to launch his career. Starting with a movie like ‘Zanjeer’, a remake of his father’s film of the same name, didn’t turn out as the best decision he made.
The movie caught up with a number of controversies in the way including the original movie writers’ refusal to give up the remake rights for the movie. The writers Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar considered it as a copyright betrayal when they first heard about the remake being made without asking for their approval.
Salman Khan, son of writer Salim Khan, has decided to remain quiet on the matter as he is very close to actor Ramcharan Teja who is the lead in the remake. The actor has chosen to keep out of the fight for copyright between Amit Mehra and his father and Akhtar.
