‘Sathamanam Bhavati’ featuring Sharwanand in the lead turned out to be a blockbuster despite the clash with two big films aka Balakrishna’s ‘Gautami Putra Satakarni’ and Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No:150’. Initially, the offer went to Sai Dharam Tej, but he had to turn down Dil Raju’s offer.
Explaining the reasons, the young mega hero said that he didn’t want to compete with his uncle Chiranjeevi that was touted to be a Sankranti release. When the makers approached him, he didn’t accept the movie as the makers clarified that it would also come for Sankranti.
To avoid competition, he left the offer. But then, all the three movies fared well and ‘Shathamanam Bhavathi’ even won National Award. So, where would this explanation fit in about missing out a good movie? We wonder, how would it have affected Chiranjeevi’s movie in the first place?
