The theatrical trailer for Saakini Daakini, an action thriller featuring Nivetha Thomas and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles is out now. As showcased in the teaser, this film is based on two female cop trainees.
Nivetha and Regina are introduced as two police trainees who get off on the wrong foot. But one eventful night changes their lives. The duo now sets out on an investigation to nab a gang who is presumably associated with human trafficking.
The background score for the trailer packs a punch. The story and premise appear to be fresh. This film is a remake of Korean film, Midnight Runners.
While there is a good scope for comedy and also thrilling elements, the core story should be effective enough to hold the attention. The screenplay will be the key for films like these. Can the director Sudheer Varma do the needful? We will know the answer on the 16th of this month as the film hits the silver screens.
