One must agree that ‘Saaho‘ seems to be turning out to be an epic disappointment for not only fans but also the trade, especially, in the US. The makers have been promoting the movie as India’s biggest action-thriller. It opened to mixed talk from all over and on many levels.
The major culprit might be the story and the haphazard screenplay by the writer and the director but even Prabhas’ lazy attitude and bloated looks have added to the disappointment. That means several things have gone wrong except for the background score rendered by Ghibran.
Pouring water on the mammoth hype, Prabhas’ ‘Saaho’ has collected $915 K from the premiers. This number seems to be okay until you hear the break-even figure for the movie, i.e., $6 million dollars. This kind of break-even is even bigger for a movie with an positive talk, it needs an extraordinary must watch talk.
With all the hype and expectations, the premiers didn’t even add up to a million dollars. Now, the poor reviews and high ticket prices are going to put the movie under huge risk. Everything seems to be very scary and we feel that Prabhas certainly doesn’t deserve this.
