The teaser of the most awaited Rebel Star Prabhas’s new movie Saaho is out. It is his next after the phenomenal success of Baahubali movies across India. Saaho, therefore, has curiosity all over, and it caters to a pan-Indian audience. Let’s see if the teaser has lived up to the expectations or not?
The teaser is reasonably lengthy and satisfying in that it has enough to feel okay, at the very least, as it comes after such a long time and with so many expectations. The second thing that stands out is the visuals; they are mind-blowing. For an action movie in India, the level of output is of never seen before quality. Add the trippy music, and it’s a teaser worth repeating multiple times.
And finally, the all-important part which is Prabhas, we have to say it is a mixed bag. Without the Rebel Star there is no Saaho, but within Saaho, Prabhas comes across as bloated. The lazy attitude seems off at least in the teaser, and we need to wait for a trailer. Also, he seems to have less screen time in the tease, but the closing dialogue makes up for it. Shraddha Kapoor is refreshing and adds value to the proceedings.
And finally, there is too much style. Undoubtedly, it fits well into the teaser, the slick cut also helps. But the same could be overkill on the big screens when the emotions too turn plastic. It is a danger that such stylised action flicks run and we hope that is not the case with Saaho for all the efforts involved.
