Sahoo-Postponed-–-Who-Gets-AffectedThe indications were there all along. It seemed like something was off with Saaho. Not that the makers showed intentions, but films around Saaho were making moves that made everyone suspicious.

And now, movies Ranaragam and Evaru have officially locked Independence Day release. Even though the makers of Saaho haven’t officially announced anything, the takeover of the date by smaller films means Saaho is all set to be postponed.

The new release date doing the rounds is August 30. It is currently allocated to Gangleader starring Nani. If Saaho makes the official announcement Gangleader would move. However, there is a Suriya’s Bandobast the next day. It won’t be a significant threat in Telugu, but the Tamil and Malayalam markets are going to be in troubled waters for Saaho.

And finally, an August 30th release means approximately one month gap between the next two biggies Sye Raa and War. Will Sye Raa take the risk is another big question? The postponement is going to have an impact on it in different ways.

And finally, the postponement will be a massive buzz killer immediately. But, as it is only for two weeks and in return, it gets a holiday release (Vinayaka Chavithi on first Monday) and lesser competition in Bollywood (compared to Independence Day), the makers would not mind. A universally accepted theatrical trailer will be a must from the Saaho team, in the near future, to reignite the buzz.
