SS Rajamouli‘s RRR Trailer has amassed more than 50 million views on YouTube in the first 24 hours of its release. Both Telugu and Hindi versions together have amassed close to 40 Million views while the remaining trailers have contributed to the remaining 10 Million views.
The Performance of the Tamil trailer comes as a surprise. It has garnered only 3 Million views much less than the Kannada version (5 Million views). Also, there is a smear campaign running against the movie on social media. Tamil fans are intentionally spitting venom on the film.
This has left Telugu fans fuming. This is in complete contrast of how Tamil films are getting huge reception in both the Telugu States. Rajinikanth always has a big market here and recently, Vijay also started building one here.
Suriya and Karthi have decent markets here. Siva Karthikeyan also started to build one. Even then, Tamil Thambis could not stand one filmmaker (Rajamouli) getting a name across the country and making films with Pan-India content.
