As per the latest announcement from the makers of RRR, the film has minted Rs 223 crores gross in India on its opening day. While the film posted record breaking number in the Telugu states and the USA, it has fared pretty well in Hindi and Kerala as well.
As per the latest box office reports, RRR has collected Rs 4 crores gross in Kerala on its opening day. This is the second-best non-Malayali opener in the Kerala market.
RRR is next only to Baahubali 2 (Rs 5.45 crores) in terms of opening day collections for a non-Malayali film in Kerala. This is a pretty impressive feat.
Initially, it was anticipated that RRR might not get off to the best of starts at the Kerala box office as the advance bookings weren’t of great encouragement. But the positive reviews and good word of mouth appear to have done the trick for the Rajamouli directorial.
RRR went on to make Rs 8.8 crores gross in Karnataka and Rs 5.5+ crores in Tamil Nadu on its opening day.
