The first song, Dosti, of the most awaited movie of the year RRR, is out. It is a friendship themed song, and MM Keeravani has come up with a piece of appealing thematic work that is musically rich and reflects the intensity of the content.
The opening strings section of Dosti instantly draws us in. It soon takes an intense turn with ‘Dara Dara Dum Dum’ humming, and then the lyrics take off. The whole thing is smoothly done, and then it is all about the lyrics.

Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry has penned some excellent lines on the theme of ‘Dosti’ between two parallel forces. The various ways in which the elements of polar opposite nature are conveyed and written give a high lyrically and musically. The music and the lyrics are entirely in sync with each other.
The special music video shot for the song is equally well done. The dark set goes well with the overall intensity. It further reflects the colour palette and mood of the film involving fire and water. The two hands holding each other is so obvious, even if one misses the subtle details. The surprise entrance of Jr NTR and Ram Charan, in the end, is icing on the cake. Their presence, the musical high (towards the end) –everything leads to a goosebump ending.
