RRR is going on a record breaking run at the box office. The film has registered all-time records in the Nizam (Rs 23+ crores) region, Ceded (Rs 17+ Cr), and other major pockets in the Twin Telugu states. As per the latest reports, RRR has gotten off to bright start in the Hindi belt as well.
RRR’s Hindi day 1 nett is said to be in upwards of Rs 19 crores, making it the second-highest opening day grosser after Sooryavanshi in the Hindi market post the Covid third wave. The Telugu version in the Hindi circuit might add another Rs 2.5 crores to the tally.
Earlier, there were reports that RRR might make around Rs 8-10 crores nett in the Hindi belt. But thanks to the positive word of mouth, the film has posted double the revenues on its opening day and this is an encouraging sign,
RRR has reportedly fared pretty well in mass belts like UP and Bihar. The film did relatively well in the Mumbai circuit as well, but the high ticket prices are said to have resulted in lower footfalls here. With a positive word of mouth, the collections are more likely to pick up over the weekend. RRR’s Hindi rights are valued at Rs 90+ crores.
There was a bit of anticipation if RRR would beat Saaho’s day 1 collections (Rs 24+ crores) in the Hindi belt, but that did not happen. That said, the film has indeed started off on the right note.
