The grand pre-release event of RRR was held in Mumbai today. Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johan hosted the event while Bollywood superstar Salman Khan attended it as the special guest. RRR unit had already announced that the event will not be telecasted live and the edited version will be unveiled later.
The idea was to contain the leakage of images and videos from the event and compile a well-edited version of the whole event and later televise the same. But that didn’t happen. Several video clips pertaining to the event have surfaced on social media and they are going viral now. From what we can see, the event is a gala affair.
A large section of Telugu social media users are watching the leaked videos. So, there won’t be quite a lot of excitement surrounding the televised version. The best thing team RRR can do now is to televise the edited version at the earliest without much delay.
Speaking at the event, Salman Khan confirmed that he will be collaborating with Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. This project is expected to materialize soon. He added that it wouldn’t be a wise choice to release any film at least 4 months post RRR’s release, such is the hype surrounding the film.
