The film industry will soon be seeing a volley of love films seeing as romance seems to be the trend of the hour ever since the success of the newcomers laden small budget film Aashiqui 2 which raked in a sumptuous eighty crores earning. The films that are lined up for release this week includes Vikramaditya Motwane’s Lootera along with Prabhudheva’s Ramaiya Vastavaiya, Manish Tiwary’s Issaq, Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, Milan Luthria’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara, Maneesh Sharma’s Shudh Desi Romance, Divya (Bhushan) Kumar’s Yaariyan and lastly Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela.

In this context, trade analyst Taran Adarsh offers his view that despite being the flavor of the season, it is risky since the romance genre has always been a big draw. However, love stories are something can never go out of fashion since it is crucial part of the narrative even in films of other genre like in like Kai Po Che,Chasme Buddoor and Fukrey.
