rip-divi-srinivasa-deekshitulu-tfis-best-pujari-no-moreVeteran actor Divi Srinivasa Deekshitulu has breathed his last on the movie sets in Hyderabad. The veteran is said to be suffering from old age related ailments and was immediately rushed to a hospital when he suffered a heart attack on the sets. He was declared dead before he reached the hospital.

Deekshitulu was known for the soft roles and he was seen as a soft-spoken priest in most of the movies including Chiranjeevi’s ‘Indra’ and ‘Tagore’, Mahesh Babu’s ‘Murari’ and ‘Athadu’ and also in Prabhas’ first blockbuster ‘Varsham’. True to his name, he acted in pujari roles and won acclaim for the natural portrayal of the roles he was offered. Actually, he rose to fame as a character artist in the much-acclaimed television daily soap ‘Agamanam’.

He even worked at All India Radio as an actor. Telugu Film Industry would definitely miss a veteran who used to fit perfectly into those soft roles he performed with great conviction. From mirchi9 team, we extend our heartfelt condolences. May his soul rest in peace!
