Dil-Raju-Tollywood-Shootings-ResumeThe much-talked Telugu film industry bandh has been disrupted. Shootings of many films will resume from Monday, which is 8.08.2022. Ironically, it was the producers who called for the bandh and appealed to stop all film shootings till certain issues were resolved.

But looks like differences between a few producers are likely to impact the bandh, which is now more or less over. Big producers like Dil Raju have violated the decision by going ahead with the shoot of their films. Dil Raju maintains that his film ‘Varasudu’ is a Tamil film, and hence the bandh does not imply to him or his production house.

Similarly, Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao will begin its shoot from August 8. Meanwhile, shootings of small and unknown films are going on as usual. Due to this, the producers have decided to restart shoots from August 8.

However, it has to be noted that the film guild is conducting its meetings despite the latest developments. Already, producer Dil Raju addressed the media, during which he announced that the film chamber and producers’ council would form various committees to sort out different issues. Initially, there will be four committees, one each on OTT, cine workers’ pay, VFP charges for big and small movies, and one for exhibitors. A fifth committee will also be formed to look into the wastage of producers’ money during day and night shoots.

Because of this bandh, dates of many stars were wasted, and schedules went haywire. The release dates of many upcoming films have to be pushed ahead due to the delay in shootings because of this bandh. The interest on film finance also gets heaped up, increasing the burden for the producers.
