Director and producer Ram Gopal Varma always manages to stay in the news making one comment or the other. In the ever continuing process, he picks some projects that help him get to a level higher than usual, and he milks it to the fullest and moves to the next.
Taking examples from the past decade and a half and restricting the movies to Telugu, we have Rakta Charitra centered around Paritala Ravi, then Vangaveeti, which was based on Vangaveeti Ranga. These generated massive buzz, and RGV was all over the media during the making and release of those films. But the post-release results have a different story.
Lakshmi’s NTR is once again helping RGV make all the noise. His social media activity is at a peak. It reminds one of Kotiki Kobbari Chippa phrase. It has helped generate a lot of buzz on the movie, and that is reflected in the trailer response online where Lakshmi’s NTR is dominating NTR Mahanayakudu. RGV who is in worst phase couldn’t have asked for a better project.
But, the all-important question remains, will all the noise, hype and chatter be restricted to online only? Will there be a reflection of the same in reality. Based on the recent works, it might be a high expectation.
