The actor said that he had loved the role in Pushpa very much and would have definitely been part of the movie, if not for the pandemic. It puts to rests the stories doing the rounds that he demanded high remuneration.
According to Vijay Sethupathi, the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown has made his filmy schedule haywire. Had he continued to be part of Pushpa, the unit would have had to bear the trouble of uncertainty of dates. They are all over the place, and biggie like Pushpa could face delays due to him. To avoid all the problem, the actor says he choose to walk out.
The team of Pushpa is still searching for the replacement of Vijay Sethupathi. A few names are doing the rounds, but none are confirmed, so far.
Sukumar directs Pushpa, which is a Mythri Movie Makers production. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead in the mass action thriller. Devi Sri Prasad provides the music. Pushpa is planned as a pan-India multilingual release.
