The trailer of Sai Dharam Tej‘s new film Republic is out. It is a hard-hitting and powerful tale of power politics between a politician and a bureaucrat.
Republic features Sai Dharam Tej in his most intense avatar yet. He plays an IAS officer who is always at the service of people. The same attitude lands him in trouble as he has to go against a public representative.
The core issue of Republic where the conflict arises seems to be inspired by a real-life tragedy that can be easily understood. It holds a lot of appeal for drama and who better than Dev Katta to handle it. He is in a similar zone to his directorial debut Prasthanam which also incorporated a real-life incident.
The dialogues are heavy, as expected, but they add to the intense mood. If they are placed neatly and balanced well with performances and engaging screenplay, Republic could be a memorable outing for everyone.
