Earlier Regina Cassandra was to make her Bollywood debut with Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Ankhen 2’, the sequel to the super hit heist thriller with the same title. Eventually, the film was shelved and Regina‘s Bollywood dreams had to take a back seat.
Once again, we can see her Bollywood dreams coming true as she was properly auditioned and roped in for a Bollywood movie titled ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Tho Aisa Lagaa’ to be helmed by Shelly Chopra Dhar sister of popular filmmaker cum producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
She will be sharing screen space with Sonam Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla. It’s not clear whether she is playing one of the lead roles or else a crucial character in the movie. But she was chosen by the virtue of her looks and performance after auditions as the makers wanted a South girl with western looks for the movie.
North heroines like Taapsee and Ileana made their career in South and then are reaping gold in Bollywood. But, heroines from South like Kajal Agarwal couldn’t make a career in Bollywood. Let’s see how things pan out for Regina in Bollywood.
