The reception Solo Brathuke So Better has got for Christmas in the domestic markets encouraged the makers to enter Sankranthi race but things in Overseas market are not yet favorable. Solo Brathuke So Better has registered horrible numbers in the US markets indicating that things are far from normal.
Several big chains are still closed. Ram’s Forthcoming film, Red is confirmed to release on January 14th, 2021. Red team is planning a separate plan to milk the US market. They are planning to release the movie there on pay per view basis with a modest pricing of $8-10.
There are divided opinions about this idea. A few hours after the US release, HD Print will be available on torrents which may be a headache for the domestic markets as well. At the same time, that may hamper the US PPV market as well. Discussions are on to see if the risk will be worth.
If this idea works out, it will be a model for the industry and may be even the other industries until the situation has become normal. US market is too big market for anyone to ignore especially for Telugu cinema. But the big question is if Red can afford the risk to test the ground.
