It looks like a delay in takeoff of Mani Ratnam’s project may cost the director a chance to cast Mahesh Babu in his film. When word had come out of two working together in a film, it generated much interest from the audience. But many months have passed and the movie seems to be at a standstill. According to reliable sources there seems to be some casting issues from the director’s end.
While Shruti Haasan has already been roped for one of the three female leads, Though Aishwarya Rai has has accepted the offer she merely said that she would revisit the project when everything is in place. While makers figure out what that means, auditions for the third lead has been going on in Mumbai and Chennai but never had luck on finalizing the cast so far.
Meanwhile, Mahesh’s casting managers have been waiting for the dates to lock his diary since he had to allot his dates to an other film, uncertinity over cast and no firm dates from Mani Ratnam chances are that Mahesh Babu may walk out of the project completely.
