The Family Man 2 got rave reviews across the quarters for its intriguing and impact it generated. The show also gave some terrific powerhouse performances from top stars to the 15-minute role of Chellam Sir.
While appreciation continues to pour in for The Family Man 2, there also has been discontentment among some for not having Telugu and Tamil versions. The show makers Raj and DK, who are Teluguites have now opened up on the reason behind the delay in both the versions.
The filmmaker says that the series itself was getting delayed for many factors along with lockdown and the second wave. They were already disgruntled that the second season got delayed and at any cost wanted to release it in summer as promised.
“We overcame so many obstacles in finishing the project to get it released in time. We always had plans to have simultaneous releases in Telugu and Tamil too but the only reason behind it getting delayed is due to our selfish interest,” adds Raj.
He explains the selfish interest stating, “As a filmmaker we have a selfish interest that the plot shouldn’t lose its essence in other languages. We want everything to be in sync and convey the essence. The process is underway but since our concentration was more on getting it released in time, that part was left behind”.
Meanwhile, the filmmakers and team continue to bask in the success of The Family Man 2, now the script is underway for the third season.
