Dil_Raju_Media_InteractionStar producer Dil Raju has altered the ticket pricing system for his upcoming film, F3. He has decided to go with normal ticket pricing, Rs 250+ GST at premium multiplexes and Rs 250 including GST at other plexes in Hyderabad.

In his latest interaction, Dil Raju opened up about his observation on the movie-going trend and footfalls at cinema halls.

“In the last 6 months, I have been analyzing what’s going on with movie-going trend displayed by the Telugu audience. I then came to a conclusion that high ticket prices are resulting in low footfalls. A middle class family is likely to stay away from watching a film in theatres due to high prices. Then there’s this OTT as well. People are accustomed to it now,” Dil Raju said.

About F3, Raju said he believes this film has what it takes to bring the family audience to theatres and that is the reason why he is enforcing economical prices to keep the film accessible to family crowds. About the OTT deal, he said F3 has a 50-day OTT deal but it is subject to change based on the situation.

Raju says the audience are ready to pay high prices for big event films like RRR and KGF 2, but not for all films. About the blame he faces for ticket hikes, Raju said “It is easy to blame me because Dil Raju has become a brand now. People easily target me, but they forget that every film has a producer, and the ticket hikes are a collective decision taken by the producer and the hero.”

“They say producer is taking all the money but from a ticket that sells for Rs 275, the producer actually receives RS 125. These are the economics that not everyone knows.” Raju added.
